When docking a scanner, ActiveSync establishes a mobile
device connection using one of two methods: 1) Partnership - Synchronize
selected files. 2) Guest Only - Connect, but don't synchronize files.
U-Trap-It scanners work best when no partnerships have been set.
If you have accidently or just-for-grins established a partnership, this
needs to be removed on any workstation that performs scanner operations
(branding, programming, loading/retrieving data).
To remove
prior partnerships: 1) Dock the partnered scanner - let it connect. 2) Now
undock the scanner. 3) Open ActiveSync. 4) Click "File" -> "Delete Mobile
Device". 5) Confirm the partnership removal. 6) Repeat steps 1-5
for all scanners that have been partnered.
Click -->
GuestOnly.zip , choose
"Open" (when prompted to Open, Save, or Cancel), now double-click
the "GuestOnly.reg" file in it. (When prompted to merge
this information into your registry, click Yes/OK.)
Restart your computer, and from this point forward all
scanners will connect as a "guest" on this workstation. |
