1) Charge all scanners
for 24 hours - make sure the charging indicator is lit (green or red
light).
>>> Do not proceed
until scanners are FULLY charged <<<
2) Cold Boot the
scanner by doing the following:
-
Make sure the scanner is off.
-
Remove scanner from cradle.
-
With the unit face-up, note
the small grey button on lower right corner.
-
Turn the unit over, remove the
battery compartment cover.
-
Using the stylus (plastic pen)
depress the black reset button while pressing/holding the small grey
button mentioned above.
-
Replace battery compartment
cover.
-
Turn the scanner on.
3) Complete the
"Welcome" process (screen calibration, regional settings, time/date,
etc...)
If you don't get the
"Welcome" process, repeat step 2 - as it wasn't completed
correctly...
4) Uncheck "Incoming
Beams" by doing the following:
-
Click Start
-
Click Settings
-
Click "Connections" tab at
bottom of screen.
-
Click the "Beam" icon
-
Uncheck the
checkbox for "Receive all incoming beams..."
-
Click "OK" at top right of
screen.
5) Change ActiveSync
Baud rate by doing the following:
-
Click Start
-
Click ActiveSync (in the start
menu)
-
Click "Tools" at the bottom of
the screen.
-
Click "Options"
-
Place Check in "Enable
Synchronization when cradled.."
-
In the Combo box for speed,
select "115200 default"
-
Place check in "Include PC
when synchronizing remotely..."
-
Click "OK" at top right of
screen.
6) Place Scanner back
into cradle.
Note: steps 7 and 8 are
performed on the desktop PC from within the Desktop program.
7) Reprogram scanner:
Scanner Utilities -> "Program Scanner (with software)"
8) Reload Inspector
data: Scanner Utilities -> "Load CE device with Inspector data"
